The people of Noah gave the lie to the Messengers. 105 When their brother Nuh (Noah) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 106 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 107 fear God, and obey me. 108 I ask no payment from you for my preaching. The Lord of the Universe will give me my reward. 109 “Therefore fear Allah, and obey me.” 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we place our faith in thee, even though [only] the most abject [of people] follow thee?" 111 He said: I have no knowledge of that which they have been Working. 112 Their account is only upon my Lord, if you [could] perceive. 113 It is not for me to repel those who choose to believe. 114 "I am sent only to warn plainly in public." 115 They said, 'If thou givest not over, Noah, thou shalt assuredly be one of the stoned.' 116 He said: "O my Lord! truly my people have rejected me. 117 So decide Thou between me and them with a decision, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. 118 We saved him and those who were with him in a fully laden Ark, 119 then afterwards We drowned the rest. 120 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 121 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace 122
