The people of Noah accused the apostles of lies. 105 When their brother Noah said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 “Therefore fear Allah, and obey me.” 108 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being; 109 “Therefore fear Allah, and obey me.” 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we place our faith in thee, even though [only] the most abject [of people] follow thee?" 111 He said, "And what is my knowledge of what they used to do? 112 Their reckoning is upon my Lord, if ye but knew. 113 And I am not one to drive away the believers. 114 “I am not but clearly a Herald of Warning.” 115 Said they: "Indeed, if thou desist not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be stoned to death!" 116 He said, "My Lord, indeed my people have denied me. 117 So pass a clear judgement between me and them and rescue me and the believers with me." 118 So We delivered him, and those with him, in the laden ship, 119 Then We drowned the rest thereafter. 120 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 And lo, thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
