The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 When their brother Noah said to them: "Will you not take heed? 106 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 107 Have fear of God and obey me. 108 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds: 109 So fear God and follow me." 110 ۞ They said, "Should we believe you while you are followed by the lowest [class of people]?" 111 He said: 'I have no knowledge of what they have done. 112 My Lord alone can bring them to account, if only you could understand, 113 I do not drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain warner. 115 They said: "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will be stoned to death." 116 He prayed: "O Lord, verily my people accuse me of lies. 117 Therefore judge You between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me." 118 And We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. 119 And drowned the rest of them. 120 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 121 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 122
