The people of Nuh rejected the apostles. 105 When their brother Noah said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 106 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you; 107 “Therefore fear Allah, and obey me.” 108 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds: 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They replied: 'Are we to believe you whom the lowliest follow' 111 He said: "And what do I know as to what they do? 112 Their account is only with my Lord, if you could perceive 113 And I am not going to drive away the believers; 114 I am naught but a warner manifest. 115 'Noah' they replied, 'if you do not desist you shall be of those stoned' 116 [Whereupon] he prayed: "O my Sustainer! Behold, my people have given me the lie: 117 hence, lay Thou wide open the truth between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me!" 118 We saved him and those who were with him in the laden ship, 119 and drowned the rest. 120 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 121 And lo, thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
