The people of Nuh rejected the apostles. 105 when their brother Noah said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 106 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 107 fear God, and obey me. 108 I ask of you no recompense for it, for my only reward is with the Lord of the Universe, 109 Have fear of God and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in thee when it is the meanest that follow thee?" 111 He said: 'I have no knowledge of what they have done. 112 Their reckoning rests with none but my Sustainer: if you could but understand [this]! 113 I would not drive away the believers; 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said: If you desist not, O Nuh, you shall most certainly be of those stoned to death. 116 Then Noah said, "Lord, my people have rejected me. 117 So decide Thou between me and them with a decision, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. 118 Thereafter We rescued him and those who were with him in the laden Ark 119 Then We drowned the rest thereafter. 120 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 121 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace 122
