The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 When their brother Noah said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 106 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 107 So fear Allah and obey me. 108 For this I ask of you no wage, for my wage falls only on the Lord of the Worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They replied: 'Are we to believe you whom the lowliest follow' 111 He said: "And what do I know as to what they do? 112 It is for my Lord to bring them to book, if you can understand. 113 And I am not to drive away the believers. 114 “I am not but clearly a Herald of Warning.” 115 They said, "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will surely be of those who are stoned." 116 He said: "My Lord! My people have branded me a liar. 117 so give true deliverance between me and them, and deliver me and the believers that are with me. 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the loaded ark, 119 Then after it, We drowned the rest. 120 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 121 But surely your Lord is mighty and merciful. 122
