Alshu'araa' 6 of 11
The people of Noah rejected the Messengerss. 105 when their brother Noah said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 so fear Allah and obey me. 108 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being; 109 So fear Allah and obey me. 110 ۞ They said: Shall we put faith in thee, when the lowest (of the people) follow thee? 111 He said: "And what knowledge have I of what they used to do? 112 It is for my Lord to bring them to book, if you can understand. 113 “And I will not repel the Muslims.” 114 I am only a clear warner' 115 They said: if thou desistest not, thou shalt surely be of those stoned. 116 He prayed: "O Lord, verily my people accuse me of lies. 117 Then judge between me and them with decisive judgement and save me and those with me of the believers." 118 And so We saved him and those [who were] with him in the fully-laden ark, 119 and drowned the rest. 120 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 122
