Hizb 38
< random >
The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 When their brother Noah said to them: "Will you not take heed? 106 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 107 so fear Allah and obey me. 108 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being; 109 "So fear Allah, and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: Shall we believe in you while the meanest follow you? 111 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they do? 112 "Their account is only with my Lord, if you could (but) know. 113 "I am not one to drive away those who believe. 114 'I am naught but a plain warner.' 115 They said, "Noah, if you do not desist, you will, certainly, be stoned to death." 116 [Whereupon] he prayed: "O my Sustainer! Behold, my people have given me the lie: 117 hence, lay Thou wide open the truth between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me!" 118 Thereafter We rescued him and those who were with him in the laden Ark 119 Then We drowned thereafter the remaining ones. 120 Verily there is a sign in this, yet many of them do not believe. 121 And thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
