The nation of Noah, belied their Messengers. 105 Behold, their brother Noah said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 106 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you; 107 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 108 I ask no payment from you for my preaching. The Lord of the Universe will give me my reward. 109 Have fear of God and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: shall We believe in thee when the meanest follow thee? 111 He said, 'What knowledge have I of that they have been doing? 112 My Lord alone can bring them to account, if only you could understand, 113 "I am not one to drive away those who believe. 114 I am only a plain warner. 115 They said: "If thou desist not, O Noah! thou shalt be stoned (to death)." 116 [Whereupon] he prayed: "O my Sustainer! Behold, my people have given me the lie: 117 “Therefore make a decisive judgement between me and them, and rescue me and the believers along with me.” 118 Thereafter We rescued him and those who were with him in the laden Ark 119 and then We caused those who stayed behind to drown. 120 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 121 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
