Alshu'araa' 6 of 11
The people of Noah denied the messengers 105 when their brother Noah said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 106 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 107 “Therefore fear Allah, and obey me.” 108 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: Shall we believe in you while the meanest follow you? 111 Noah said: "What knowledge do I have about their deeds? 112 Their account is only with my Lord, if you could perceive 113 And I am not to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 'Noah' they replied, 'if you do not desist you shall be of those stoned' 116 [Whereupon] he prayed: "O my Sustainer! Behold, my people have given me the lie: 117 So open between me and them an opening, and save me and the believers who are with me' 118 So We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. 119 And drowned the rest of them. 120 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not believers. 121 Your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
