Hizb 38
< random >
The people of Noah accused the apostles of lies. 105 When their brother Nuh (Noah) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 108 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 109 “Therefore fear Allah, and obey me.” 110 ۞ They said: Shall we put faith in thee, when the lowest (of the people) follow thee? 111 He said: "And what knowledge have I of what they used to do? 112 "Their account is only with my Lord, if you could (but) know. 113 "I am not one to drive away those who believe. 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said, 'If thou givest not over, Noah, thou shalt assuredly be one of the stoned.' 116 He said, “My Lord, my people have denied me.” 117 Therefor judge Thou between us, a (conclusive) judgment, and save me and those believers who are with me. 118 So We saved him and those with him in a laden ship. 119 Thereafter We drowned those who remained behind. 120 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 121 And indeed your Lord, only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
