The people of Nuh rejected the apostles. 105 when their brother Noah said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 106 I am a trustworthy messenger for you: 107 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 108 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds: 109 “Therefore fear Allah, and obey me.” 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in you, when the meanest (of the people) follow you?" 111 He said: "And what knowledge have I of what they used to do? 112 Their reckoning rests with none but my Sustainer: if you could but understand [this]! 113 Hence, I shall not drive away [any of] those [who profess to be] believers; 114 I am only a Prophet. 115 They said: if thou desistest not, thou shalt surely be of those stoned. 116 He said, “My Lord, my people have denied me.” 117 “Therefore make a decisive judgement between me and them, and rescue me and the believers along with me.” 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the loaded ark, 119 and drowned the others. 120 There is certainly a sign in that; but most of them do not believe: 121 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 122
