'Ad (people) belied the Messengers. 123 Recall, when their brother Hud said to them: "Have you no fear? 124 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 125 fear God, then, and obey me. 126 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 127 "Do you build high palaces on every high place, while you do not live in them? 128 "And do you get for yourselves palaces (fine buildings) as if you will live therein for ever. 129 When you lay hands upon anyone, you do so as tyrants. 130 So be fearful of God and follow me. 131 “Fear Him Who has aided you with the things you know.” 132 Who has provided you with flocks and children 133 And gardens and springs. 134 Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a dreadful Day' 135 They said, "Whether you preach to us or not, 136 This is not but the custom of the former peoples, 137 and we shall never be punished' 138 And they denied him, so We destroyed them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 139 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 140
