Ad gave the lie to the apostles. 123 when their brother Hud said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 124 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust: 125 fear God, then, and obey me. 126 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists). 127 "Do you build high palaces on every high place, while you do not live in them? 128 And take ye for yourselves castles that haply ye may abide. 129 When you lay hands upon anyone, you do so as tyrants. 130 So be fearful of God and follow me. 131 And be careful of (your duty to) Him Who has given you abundance of what you know. 132 amply provided you with flocks, and children, 133 And orchards and springs. 134 Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a dreadful Day' 135 They replied, "It makes no difference to us whether you preach or do not preach, 136 That is nothing but a habit of the ancients, 137 And we are not going to be tormented. 138 And they denied him, so We destroyed them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 139 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 140

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
