The tribe of Ad rejected the Messengers. 123 When their brother Hud said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 125 so fear you God, and obey you me. 126 I ask no recompense of you; my reward is only with the Lord of the Universe. 127 "Do you build high palaces on every high place, while you do not live in them? 128 and erect huge palaces as though you will live for ever, 129 When you attack, you attack as tyrants do. 130 So guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me 131 “Fear Him Who has aided you with the things you know.” 132 He has given you cattle, children, 133 and gardens, and springs: 134 'Indeed, I fear for you the chastisement of a dreadful day.' 135 They said: it is equal unto us whether thou admonishest or art not of the admonishers. 136 this is nothing but a habit of the ancients: 137 "And we are not the ones to receive Pains and Penalties!" 138 And they denied him, so We destroyed them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 139 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 140

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
