Ad cried lies to the Envoys 123 Behold, their brother Hud said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 125 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 126 I seek of you no reward for this; my reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 127 Do you build over each high place a sign to amuse yourselves! 128 "And do ye get for yourselves fine buildings in the hope of living therein (for ever)? 129 When you assault, you assault like tyrants! 130 "Now fear Allah, and obey me. 131 And fear Him Who hath aided you with that which ye know. 132 "He has aided you with cattle and children. 133 And gardens and springs. 134 Verily I fear for you the torment of a Mighty Day. 135 They said: "It is the same to us if you warn us or do not warn. 136 This is not but the custom of the former peoples, 137 We will not be subjected to any chastisement." 138 And they belied him; so We destroyed them. Verily herein is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 139 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 140
