The Thamud tribe denied the Noble Messengers. 141 Recall when their brother Salih said to them: "Have you no fear?" 142 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 143 So fear Allah, and obey me. 144 I do not ask for any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 145 Do you believe that you will be left here to live securely in the present state 146 amidst the gardens, springs, 147 “And fields and palm-trees, with delicate tendrils?” 148 hewing out houses in the mountains and taking pride in your skill? 149 "Be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me, 150 and pay no heed to the counsel of those who are given to excesses 151 “Those who spread turmoil in the earth, and do no reform.” 152 They replied, "Surely you are bewitched. 153 “You are just a human like us; therefore bring some sign if you are truthful.” 154 He said, “This is the she-camel – one day shall be her turn to drink, and on the other appointed day, shall be your turn.” 155 Do not cause her to suffer lest you become subject to the torment of the great day (of Judgment)." 156 But they ham-strung her: then did they become full of regrets. 157 So the punishment overtook them. Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 158 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 159

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
