The people of Lut gave the lie to the apostles. 160 When their fellowman Lut said to them, “Do you not fear?” 161 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 162 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 163 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 164 Do you, in the world, want to have carnal relations with males 165 instead of your wives, whom your Lord has created specially for you? You are a transgressing people." 166 They said, "Lot, if you do not give up preaching, you will certainly be expelled (from this town)". 167 He said, "Indeed, I am, toward your deed, of those who detest [it]. 168 My Lord, deliver me and my family from their wicked deeds." 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 except an old woman who stayed behind, 171 But the rest We destroyed utterly. 172 We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)! 173 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 174 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 175

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
