The prople of Lout (Lot) (those dwelt in the towns of Sodom in Palestine) belied the Messengers. 160 Recall, when their brother Lot said to them: "Have you no fear? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger. 162 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 "Go you in unto the males of the 'Alamin (mankind), 165 instead of your wives, whom your Lord has created specially for you? You are a transgressing people." 166 They said: "If thou desist not, O Lut! thou wilt assuredly be cast out!" 167 He said: "I am one of those who abhor your practice. 168 My Lord, save me and my family from their evil doings." 169 Then We delivered him and all his family 170 Except an old woman who lingered behind. 171 Then afterward We destroyed the others. 172 And We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned. 173 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 174 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 175
