The people of Lut rejected the messengers. 160 When their brother Lut said unto them: fear ye not? 161 I am for you an honest Messenger. 162 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 163 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 164 “What! Among all the creatures, you commit the immoral acts with men?” 165 keeping yourselves aloof from all the [lawful] spouses whom your Sustainer has created for you? Nay, but you are people who transgress all bounds of what is right!" 166 They said: "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will be expelled (from the city)." 167 He said: 'Truly, I am a detester of what you do' 168 My Lord! Save me and my household from what they do. 169 So We saved him and his whole family 170 Except one old woman who remained behind. 171 then We totally destroyed the rest, 172 And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned. 173 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 174 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
