Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear God? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger. 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 164 What, of all creation will you go to (fornicate with) the males, 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your wives? Nay, you are a trespassing people!" 166 They said: If you desist not, O Lut! you shall surely be of those who are expelled. 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 My Lord, deliver me and my family from their wicked deeds." 169 We therefore rescued him and his entire family. 170 Except an old woman who lingered behind. 171 But the rest We destroyed utterly. 172 and We sent upon them a rain, an evil rain that fell on those who had been warned. 173 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 174 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 175
