Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: "Will you not take heed? 161 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the lord of the Worlds. 164 "Go you in unto the males of the 'Alamin (mankind), 165 keeping yourselves aloof from all the [lawful] spouses whom your Sustainer has created for you? Nay, but you are people who transgress all bounds of what is right!" 166 They said: If thou cease not, O Lot, thou wilt soon be of the outcast. 167 (Lot) said: "I am disgusted with your actions," 168 “My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” 169 So We delivered him and his household all. 170 Except one old woman, who stayed behind. 171 Then We destroyed the others. 172 And We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned. 173 Surely in this there is a sign: but most of them would not believe: 174 Yet surely your Lord is mighty and powerful. 175
