Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 Recall, when their brother Lot said to them: "Have you no fear? 161 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 162 "So fear Allah and obey me. 163 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 164 What, of all creation will you go to (fornicate with) the males, 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 They said: If thou cease not, O Lot, thou wilt soon be of the outcast. 167 He said: "I am one of those who abhor your practice. 168 My Lord! deliver me and my household from that which they work. 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 171 Then We destroyed the others. 172 and We sent upon them a rain, an evil rain that fell on those who had been warned. 173 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 174 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 175
