The people of Lot rejected the Messengers. 160 When their fellowman Lut said to them, “Do you not fear?” 161 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 162 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 163 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 164 What, of all creation will you go to (fornicate with) the males, 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your wives? Nay, you are a trespassing people!" 166 They said: "If you cease not. O Lout (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!" 167 He said: "I do detest your doings." 168 My Lord, deliver me and my family from their wicked deeds." 169 So We delivered him and his household all. 170 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 171 then We destroyed the others, 172 And We rained on them a rain (of torment). And how evil was the rain of those who had been warned. 173 Surely in this there is a sign: but most of them would not believe: 174 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
