The people of Lut gave the lie to the apostles. 160 When their brother Lut said unto them: fear ye not? 161 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" 166 They said, “O Lut, if you do not desist, you will be expelled.” 167 He said: verily I am of those who abhor your work. 168 My Lord, deliver me and my people from that they do.' 169 So We delivered him and his followers all, 170 Except an old woman among those who remained behind. 171 then We destroyed the others, 172 and rained down upon them a rain [of destruction]: and dire is such rain upon all who let themselves be warned [to no avail]! 173 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 174 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
