The people of Lot rejected the Messengers, branding them liars. 160 Recall, when their brother Lot said to them: "Have you no fear? 161 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 162 so fear God and obey me. 163 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 164 Do you, of all people, approach males, 165 leaving your wives that your Lord created for you? Nay, but you are a people of transgressors. 166 They said, "If you do not desist, Lot, you will surely be banished." 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 My Lord! Save me and my household from what they do. 169 Then We delivered him and all his family 170 Except an old woman among those who remained behind. 171 We then destroyed the others. 172 And We rained on them a rain (of torment). And how evil was the rain of those who had been warned. 173 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 174 Yet surely your Lord is mighty and powerful. 175
