Then the people of Lot rejected the messengers. 160 when their brother Lot said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 161 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 I do not ask any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 164 “What! Among all the creatures, you commit the immoral acts with men?” 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your wives? Nay, you are a trespassing people!" 166 They said, "If you do not desist, Lot, you will surely be banished." 167 He said: 'Truly, I am a detester of what you do' 168 My Lord! Save me and my household from what they do. 169 We therefore rescued him and his entire family. 170 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind. 171 Then We destroyed the others. 172 And rained on them a shower (of Stones). How terrible was the rain (that fell) on those who had been warned! 173 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 174 your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 175
