The folk of Lot denied the messengers (of Allah), 160 When their brother Lut said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 161 I am for you an honest Messenger. 162 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 163 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 164 Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures 165 leaving aside those whom Allah has created for you as your mates. Nay, you are a people that has transgressed all limits." 166 They said: "O Lot! If you do not desist, you will be one of those expelled (from our towns)." 167 He said, 'Truly I am a detester of what you do. 168 Lord, save me and my family from their deeds." 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 all but an old woman, who was among those that stayed behind; 171 Thereafter, We utterly destroyed the rest, 172 And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned. 173 Surely, in that there is a sign. Yet most of them do not believe. 174 your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 175
