The people of Lot denied the messengers 160 When their fellowman Lut said to them, “Do you not fear?” 161 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 162 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 163 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 164 Do you, in the world, want to have carnal relations with males 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? No, but you are a transgressing nation' 166 They said, "If you do not desist, Lot, you will surely be banished." 167 (Lot) said: "I am disgusted with your actions," 168 (And prayed:) "O Lord, save me and my family from what they do." 169 So We saved him and his whole family 170 Except an old woman (his wife) among those who remained behind. 171 and then We utterly destroyed the others, 172 and We sent upon them a rain, an evil rain that fell on those who had been warned. 173 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 174 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
