The people of Lot rejected the Messengers, branding them liars. 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 161 I am for you an honest Messenger. 162 Have fear of God and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the lord of the Worlds. 164 What, do you come to the males of the world, 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" 166 'Lot' they replied, 'if you do not desist, you shall be thrown out' 167 (Lot) said: "I am disgusted with your actions," 168 My Lord, deliver me and my family from their wicked deeds." 169 We therefore rescued him and his entire family. 170 except an old woman who stayed behind, 171 Then afterward We destroyed the others. 172 And rained on them a shower (of Stones). How terrible was the rain (that fell) on those who had been warned! 173 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 174 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
