Then the people of Lot rejected the messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 161 "Verily! I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the lord of the Worlds. 164 "Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 They said: If thou cease not, O Lot, thou wilt soon be of the outcast. 167 He said: "I do detest your doings." 168 My Lord! deliver me and my followers from what they do. 169 Thereupon We saved him and all his household 170 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind. 171 We then destroyed the others. 172 We rained upon them a rain, and evil is the rain (of stones) on those that are warned. 173 Verily herein is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
