The people of Lut rejected the messengers. 160 When their brother Lut said unto them: fear ye not? 161 "Verily! I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 "So fear Allah and obey me. 163 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 164 What, do you come to male beings, 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? You are a people who transgress all bounds." 166 They said, “O Lut, if you do not desist, you will be expelled.” 167 He said: 'Truly, I am a detester of what you do' 168 Lord, save me and my family from their deeds." 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 all but an old woman, who was among those that stayed behind; 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 We rained upon them a rain, and evil is the rain (of stones) on those that are warned. 173 Surely, in that there is a sign. Yet most of them do not believe. 174 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 175
