The folk of Lot denied the messengers (of Allah), 160 When their brother Lout (Lot) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 161 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 164 What, do you come to the males of the world, 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? You are a people who transgress all bounds." 166 They said: "O Lot! If you do not desist, you will be one of those expelled (from our towns)." 167 (Lot) said: "I am disgusted with your actions," 168 My Lord, deliver me and my family from their wicked deeds." 169 So We delivered him and his household all. 170 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 171 then We destroyed the others, 172 We rained upon them a rain, and evil is the rain (of stones) on those that are warned. 173 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 174 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 175
