The people of Lut belied the sent ones. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger. 162 So fear God and listen to me. 163 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 164 What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, 165 leaving your wives that your Lord created for you? Nay, but you are a people of transgressors. 166 They said: "If thou desist not, O Lut! thou wilt assuredly be cast out!" 167 He said, "I am one of those who abhors your ways. 168 “My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” 169 So We saved him and all his people, 170 Except an old woman among those who remained behind. 171 then We destroyed the others, 172 and We rained on them a rain; and evil is the rain of them that are warned. 173 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 175
