The folk of Lot denied the messengers (of Allah), 160 When their brother Lot said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 161 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 164 Do you, in the world, want to have carnal relations with males 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 They said, “O Lut, if you do not desist, you will be expelled.” 167 He said, "I certainly hate what you practice. 168 My Lord, deliver me and my family from their wicked deeds." 169 So We delivered him and his family,- all 170 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 And We showered a rain upon them; so what a wretched rain for those who were warned! 173 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might Most Merciful. 175
