The people of Lut rejected the messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear God? 161 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 162 Have fear of God and obey me. 163 I seek of you no reward. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 164 "Must you, of all people, [lustfully] approach men, 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your wives? Nay, you are a trespassing people!" 166 They said: "O Lot! If you do not desist, you will be one of those expelled (from our towns)." 167 He said, "Indeed, I am, toward your deed, of those who detest [it]. 168 My Lord! Save me and my household from what they do. 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 Thereafter We annihilated the rest. 172 and We rained on them a rain; and evil is the rain of them that are warned. 173 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 174 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 175
