Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 164 Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures 165 leaving your wives that your Lord created for you? Nay, but you are a people of transgressors. 166 They said: "If you cease not. O Lout (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!" 167 (Lot) said: "I am disgusted with your actions," 168 “My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” 169 Then We delivered him and all his family 170 except an old woman who remained behind. 171 Thereafter We annihilated the rest. 172 and We poured a rain [of destruction] down upon them -- and how evil was the rain which fell on those who were forewarned. 173 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 175
