Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 When their brother Lut said unto them: fear ye not? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 so fear you God, and obey you me. 163 I seek of you no reward. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 164 Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures 165 And leave the wives your Lord created for you? Nay, but ye are froward folk. 166 They said: "If you cease not. O Lout (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!" 167 He said: verily I am of those who abhor your work. 168 My Lord, deliver me and my family from their wicked deeds." 169 So We saved him and all his people, 170 all but an old woman, who was among those that stayed behind; 171 Then We utterly destroyed the others. 172 And We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned. 173 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 174 your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 175
