The folk of Lot denied the messengers (of Allah), 160 When their brother Lot said to them: "Will you not take heed? 161 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 And I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 164 What, do you come to male beings, 165 instead of your wives, whom your Lord has created specially for you? You are a transgressing people." 166 They said: "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will be expelled (from the city)." 167 He said, 'Truly I am a detester of what you do. 168 "My Lord! Save me and my family from what they do." 169 So We saved him and his household, every one, 170 Except one old woman, who stayed behind. 171 Then afterward We destroyed the others. 172 And rained on them a shower (of Stones). How terrible was the rain (that fell) on those who had been warned! 173 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 174 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 175
