The dwellers of the forest also rejected the messengers. 176 when Shuaib said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 177 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 179 I ask of you no recompense for this; my reward is only with the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure, and be not cheaters, 181 and weigh with the straight scale, 182 do not defraud people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not spread corruption in the land. 183 And fear He who created you and the former creation." 184 They replied: 'You are surely one of those bewitched. 185 you are only a mortal like us. Indeed we believe that you are an utter liar. 186 So cause a piece of the sky to fall upon us if you are truthful." 187 He said, 'My Lord knows very well what you are doing.' 188 But they cried him lies; then there seized them the chastisement of the Day of Shadow; assuredly it was the chastisement of a dreadful day. 189 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 191
