The men of the Thicket cried lies to the Envoys 176 When Shu'eyb said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 177 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 178 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 179 And I do not ask you any reward for it, my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not cheat; 181 "And weigh with scales true and upright. 182 "And withhold not things justly due to men, nor do evil in the land, working mischief. 183 So fear Him Who created you and the former generations. 184 They said, 'Thou art merely one of those that are bewitched; 185 “You are just a human like us, and indeed we consider you a liar.” 186 So cause thou a fragment of the heaven to fall upon us, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 187 He said, "My Lord has full knowledge of all your actions." 188 But they denied him, and We seized them with the torment of the Day of Shadowing (when the cloud had rained down fire). It was indeed the torment of a terrible day! 189 Verily in that is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 190 And most surely your Lord is Mighty, the Merciful. 191
