The People of the Woods denied the Noble Messengers. 176 Behold, Shu'aib said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 177 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 178 I ask of you no wage for this; 179 I ask of you no reward for this. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ Give a full measure and be not of those who diminish; 181 weigh with an even balance 182 "And withhold not things justly due to men, nor do evil in the land, working mischief. 183 “And fear Him Who created you and the earlier creations.” 184 They said, "You are only of those affected by magic. 185 thou art naught but a mortal, like us; indeed, we think that thou art one of the liars. 186 So cause a piece of the sky to fall upon us if you are truthful." 187 He said: My Lord is Best Aware of what ye do. 188 In response they denied him – therefore the punishment of the day of the tent* seized them; that was indeed a punishment of a Great Day. (The clouds formed a tent and rained fire upon them). 189 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 190 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 191
