The Companions of the Wood rejected the messengers. 176 Behold, Shu'aib said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 177 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust. 178 "So fear Allah and obey me. 179 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ Give a full measure and be not of those who diminish; 181 And weigh with an even balance. 182 And do not wrong men of their things, and do not act corruptly in the earth, making mischief. 183 Fear Him who created you and those who have gone before you." 184 They said: "You are only one of those bewitched! 185 You are but a human like ourselves, we think that you are one of the liars. 186 Drop down on us lumps from heaven, if you are one of the truthful' 187 He said, "My Lord is most knowing of what you do." 188 Then they belied him; wherefore there laid hold of them the torment of day of shadow. Verily it was the torment of a Mighty Day. 189 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 191
