The dwellers of the wood belied the sent ones. 176 Behold, Shu'aib said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 177 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 178 so fear God, and obey me. 179 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure, do not be among the cheats, 181 "And weigh with scales true and upright. 182 Wrong not mankind in their goods, and do not evil, making mischief, in the earth. 183 and have fear of Him Who created you and the earlier generations." 184 They replied: 'You are surely one of those bewitched. 185 "Thou art no more than a mortal like us, and indeed we think thou art a liar! 186 So cause a piece of the sky to fall upon us if you are truthful." 187 He said, "My Lord is most knowing of what you do." 188 But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them, indeed that was the torment of a Great Day. 189 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 191
