The dwellers of the Thicket belied their Messengers. 176 Shu'aib said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 177 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 178 "So fear Allah and obey me. 179 And I do not ask you any reward for it, my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 180 ۞ Fill up the measure and do not diminish the goods of people, 181 Weigh your goods with proper balance 182 "And defraud not people by reducing their things, nor do evil, making corruption and mischief in the land. 183 “And fear Him Who created you and the earlier creations.” 184 They said: Thou art but one of the bewitched; 185 You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars. 186 "So cause a piece of the heaven to fall on us, if you are of the truthful!" 187 He said, “My Lord is Well Aware of what you do.” 188 But they cried him lies; then there seized them the chastisement of the Day of Shadow; assuredly it was the chastisement of a dreadful day. 189 Surely, in this is indeed a sign; but most of them would not believe: 190 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 191
