The people of the Wood too called the messengers liars. 176 when their brother Shu'ayb said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 177 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who give less (than the due). 181 Weigh on an even balance. 182 and do not deprive people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not act wickedly on earth by spreading corruption, 183 but be conscious of Him who has created you, just as [He created] those countless generations of old!" 184 They said: "Surely you are deluded. 185 thou art naught but a mortal, like us; indeed, we think that thou art one of the liars. 186 Cause, then, fragments of the sky to fall down upon us, if thou art a man of truth!" 187 He said: My Lord knows best what you do. 188 And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day. 189 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 190 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 191
