The men of the Thicket cried lies to the Envoys 176 Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear God? 177 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 180 ۞ Give a full measure and be not of those who diminish; 181 And weigh with a balance straight. 182 And do not withhold from people what belongs to them, and do not corrupt the land; 183 And fear Him who created you and all the earlier people." 184 They said, “You are under a magic spell.” 185 And you are naught but a mortal like ourselves, and we know you to be certainly of the liars. 186 So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful." 187 He said, "My Lord knows all that you do." 188 But they denied him, and We seized them with the torment of the Day of Shadowing (when the cloud had rained down fire). It was indeed the torment of a terrible day! 189 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 190 Yet verily your Lord is mighty and merciful. 191
