The people of the Wood too called the messengers liars. 176 When Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 177 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust. 178 So fear God and follow me. 179 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 180 ۞ "Give just measure, and cause no loss (to others by fraud). 181 “And weigh with a proper balance.” 182 And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption. 183 "And fear Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old." 184 They said: Thou art but one of the bewitched; 185 You are nothing but a man like us, and we think you are a liar. 186 But in case you are speaking the truth, then make a segment of the sky to fall upon us." 187 (Shu'aib) said: "My Lord knows well what you are doing." 188 They rejected him, and then had to suffer the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom. That was indeed the punishment of an awful day. 189 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 190 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 191
