The people of Aykah also gave the lie to the Messengers. 176 Behold, Shu'aib said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 177 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 178 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 179 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 180 ۞ "Maintain just measure in your business and do not cause loss to others. 181 and weigh with the straight balance, 182 and do not defraud people in their property or spread evil in the land. 183 Have fear of the One who has created you and the generations that lived before you." 184 They said, 'Thou art merely one of those that are bewitched; 185 you are only a mortal like us. Indeed we believe that you are an utter liar. 186 Drop down on us lumps from heaven, if you are one of the truthful' 187 He said, “My Lord is Well Aware of what you do.” 188 And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day. 189 Verily herein is a sign; but most of them are not believers. 190 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 191
