The dwellers of Al-Aiyka [near Madyan (Midian)] belied the Messengers. 176 when their brother Shu'ayb said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 177 I am for you a faithful Messenger, so fear you God, and obey you me. 178 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and cause no loss to others. 181 and [in all your dealings] weigh with a true balance, 182 Wrong not mankind in their goods, and do not evil, making mischief, in the earth. 183 Have fear of the One who has created you and the generations that lived before you." 184 They said: "You are only one of those bewitched! 185 “You are just a human like us, and indeed we consider you a liar.” 186 But in case you are speaking the truth, then make a segment of the sky to fall upon us." 187 He said, "My Lord is most knowing of what you do." 188 But they cried him lies; then there seized them the chastisement of the Day of Shadow; assuredly it was the chastisement of a dreadful day. 189 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 190 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 191
